Dr. Sperling is a leading expert in hearing restoration surgery, focusing on research to enhance care for otosclerosis and other ear conditions. He is the past president of the New York Otological Society and served as Director of Otology at SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine from 1991 to 2010. He also teaches at the Causse Ear Hospital in France, a global leader in ear and stapedectomy surgeries.
A graduate with honors from New York Medical College, Dr. Sperling completed his residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a Fellowship at the Minnesota Ear Clinic and the University of Minnesota. He has authored numerous publications, edited textbooks, and is involved in committees for the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
